We’re incredibly honored to share that Little Jaye was recently recognized by the Seattle Times for serving the best biscuits and gravy in Seattle.
When we opened Little Jaye, we didn’t set out to win awards. We set out to create the kind of neighborhood bakery and café we wanted to visit ourselves—great coffee, scratch-made pastries, warm hospitality, and food that people crave. Somewhere along the way, our biscuits and gravy became one of the most talked-about items on the menu.
And now, being recognized for the best biscuits and gravy in Seattle is something we’re genuinely proud of.

It Starts With the Biscuit
A great biscuits and gravy plate is only as good as the biscuit underneath it.
Our team makes biscuits from scratch every single day. They’re buttery, flaky, tender, and sturdy enough to stand up to a proper ladle of gravy. We spend an unreasonable amount of time talking about biscuits around here, but that’s because details matter.
Every batch is mixed, cut, baked, and served with the same goal: making the best biscuit possible.

Then Comes the Gravy
Let’s be honest.
Nobody remembers mediocre gravy.
Our gravy is rich, savory, and loaded with flavor. It’s the kind of breakfast that makes you immediately start planning your next visit before you’ve finished the first one.
Combined with our house-made biscuits, it’s become one of the dishes that defines Little Jaye.
A Neighborhood Favorite
One of the things we love most is seeing how many people have made biscuits and gravy part of their weekly routine.
Some guests stop in before work.
Some bring the family on weekends.
Some show up specifically for the biscuits and gravy and leave with a doughnut, a cookie, and a Rice Krispy Treat they didn’t plan on buying.
We support all of those decisions.
More Than Just Biscuits and Gravy
While we’re thrilled to be recognized for the best biscuits and gravy in Seattle, Little Jaye is also home to scratch-made doughnuts, giant cookies, breakfast sandwiches, fresh pastries, and coffee that can stand toe-to-toe with any café in the city.
We’re constantly creating new flavors, seasonal specials, and reasons to stop by.
But if you’ve never visited before, we’d recommend starting with the dish that put us on the map.

Thank You Seattle
Awards are nice.
What matters most is the community that supports us every day.
To everyone who has stood in line, grabbed a coffee, brought a friend, ordered a biscuit, or told someone about Little Jaye—thank you.
This recognition belongs to our entire team and to the neighborhood that has embraced us from day one.

We’ll save you a seat.
